The type of crushing equipment and the choice of specifications must be adapted to the physical properties of the ore, meet the processing capacity and product size requirements, and consider the equipment configuration factors.
The physical properties related to the crushing performance of the ore are mainly the hardness, density, viscosity, clay content, moisture and maximum particle size of the ore. The relationship between the maximum particle size of the ore and the width of the crusher to the mine mouth is one of the main factors in selecting the crusher specifications.
For coarse crusher, to the mine maximum particle size should generally be greater than the width of the mine to 0.8-0.85; for the fine crushing ,crusher should not be greater than 0.85-0.9. AS for selection of crushed equipment ,the ore treated by the metal mine concentrator is generally hard or medium hard ore, which is suitable for the use of jaw crushers; in some nonmetallic or cement industries, when dealing with hard or soft ore, they can also use impact crusher.
The main advantages of the jaw crusher are: simple structure, light weight, low price, easy maintenance and transportation, the appearance of a small height, the need for plant height is relatively small; in the process, its reliable work, adjust the discharge port convenient, broken moisture Ore and clay containing more ore is not easy to plug. The main disadvantage is that the liner is easy to wear, the amount of treatment is lower than that of the rotary crusher, the product size is not uniform and it is too large, and the ore is required to be evenly distributed.
